Line Cook
Wyckoff Country Club is seeking a motivated and dependable Line Cook to join our culinary team. This position plays an important role in preparing high-quality meals for our members and guests in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Our kitchen supports restaurant dining, banquets, tournaments, and special events. The ideal candidate is passionate about food preparation, works well in a team environment, and maintains high standards for quality and sanitation.
Position Overview
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines. • Assist with food preparation including chopping, portioning, and ingredient preparation. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned workstation. • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed. • Assist with preparation for banquets, events, and high-volume service periods. • Maintain proper labeling and rotation of food items (FIFO – First In, First Out). • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service. • Assist with kitchen opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications
• Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred. • Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food preparation. • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. • Strong attention to detail and organization. • Dependable and punctual.
Certifications
• ServSafe certification required.
